Biography
2011-12: Completed his first full season of professional hockey with the Binghamton, tallying 23 points (8 goals, 15 assists) and 26 penalty minutes in 60 games… Ranked ninth among B-Sens in scoring.
2010-11: Completed his collegiate career in playing his sophomore season with the Michigan State Spartans (CCHA), tallying 33 points (eight goals, 25 assists) in 38 games… Established new collegiate career highs in assists, points and penalty minutes (44)… Appeared in each of his team’s games for the second consecutive season… Led the Spartans in scoring for the first time… Signed an entry-level contract with Ottawa on March 10 and concluded his season with Binghamton, where he made his professional debut in the B-Sens’ 8-3 loss at Norfolk on March 11… Registered his first professional point (an assist) in his second game with Binghamton in a 3-1 win at Charlotte on March 12… Appeared in each of the B-Sens’ seven games of their Atlantic Division semifinal series vs. Manchester and scored the game-winning goal in overtime of Game 2 to tie the series.
2009-10: Appeared in all 38 games for the Spartans… Put together a 30-point campaign, good for Honorable Mention honors to the CCHA All-Rookie Team… CCHA Rookie of the Month in October, as he was the nation’s top rookie scorer (4+6=10) in eight games… Had multiple-point efforts in his first three collegiate games… Started his college hockey career with a six-game point scoring streak.
