Career notes: In first pro season...Spent last 2 seasons with the Edmonton Oil Kings of the WHL, combining to score 42 goals and 83 points in 126 games...Played 17 games for Edmonton in the 2012 WHL playoffs, scoring 5 goals and adding 5 assists as the Oil Kings won the league title...Had best WHL offensive season last year, notching 28 goals with 22 assists in 63 games...Represented Latvia at the 2011 and 2012 IIHF World Junior Championships and in the 2009-2010 IIHF World Under-18 Championships...
