Career Notes

Entering his first professional season in 2012-13. Oleksiak was drafted by Dallas in the first round (14th overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry draft and signed a three-year entry level NHL contract with the Stars on 10/6/11. He holds dual citizenship (American and Canadian) and chose to play for Canada internationally. He made his first major tournament appearance and won a bronze medal with Team Canada in the 2012 World Junior Championships in Alberta.
