Biography
Career Notes:
Enters his first professional season in 2012-13. Fyten was undrafted after playing parts of five seasons of major junior hockey, mostly for the Lethbridge Hurricanes of the Western Hockey League. In 193 career regular season WHL games for Lethbridge he had 122 points (55 goals, 67 assists) and 287 penalty minutes. Fyten missed the entire 2011-12 regular season due to injury, but returned for the WHL playoffs with the Vancouver Giants and played in six games, scoring five points (2 goals, 3 assists) and 13 penalty minutes.
2012-13:
Attended the Texas Stars (AHL) training camp on a tryout contract…Released from tryout contract on 10/8/12 and sent to Idaho (ECHL)…Made his professional debut with the Steelheads and had two assists for his first career pro points on 10/12/12 vs. Utah…Scored his first career pro goal on 10/24/12 vs. Ontario…Signed a PTO with Texas on 1/30/13…Looking to make his Stars and AHL debut.
