Enters his second professional stint with Texas in 2013-14. Faksa was selected by Dallas in the first round (13th overall) of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. The Opava, Czech Republic native has played the last three seasons in the Ontario Hockey League for the Kitchener Rangers and the Sudbury Wolves. Faksa has appeared in 160 career OHL games, scoring 145 points (59 goals, 86 assists) and 121 penalty minutes, while also suiting up for 28 career OHL playoff games, posting 15 points (7 goals, 8 assists) and 24 PIMs…During his first year in the OHL, 2011-12, he led the league in rookie scoring (67 points) and finished second in voting for the Emms Family Award, awarded to the top first year player in the OHL. Faksa was reassigned to Texas on April 16, 2013 and made his pro debut with Texas on April 19, 2014 vs. Houston. He recorded his first career pro point with an assist on April 20, 2013 vs. Rockford. Faksa was selected to participate in the 2012 CHL Top Prospects Game, where he won the “Showdown Breakaway Challenge” in the Top Prospects Skills Competition. He has represented the Czech Republic at the 2011 IIHF Under-18 World Championship in Germany and at the last three IIHF Under-20 World Championships, in Alberta, Canada (2012), in Ufa, Russia (2013) and in Malmo, Sweden (2014).
