ACQUIRED
Buffalo Sabres’ first-round selection (8th overall) in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. Signed a three-year, entry-level contract with Buffalo on July 12, 2013.

LAST SEASON
2012-13: Appeared in 52 games for his hometown TPS Turku (SM-liiga), recording a career-high 15 points on three goals and 12 assists… Led all TPS defensemen in scoring and finished seventh overall on the team in points… Earned 21:40 of ice time per game, the most of any blueliner... Joined TPS’ U-20 team for the SM-liiga playoffs and scored two goals with one assist to go along with a +5 on-ice rating in five games

CAREER
