Wolves move atop West Division

Brad Larsen scored the winning goal with 48 seconds left in the third period to lift the Chicago Wolves to a 3-2 victory over the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks on Friday night at Cincinnati Gardens.

Stephen Weiss and Greg Hawgood also scored for the Wolves, who took over first place in the West Division. Chicago has won six straight games, and has improved to 12-0-1-0 in its last 13.

Kari Lehtonen finished with 41 saves for the Wolves, running his personal winning streak to 11 games.

Pierre Parenteau and Joel Perrault scored goals for Cincinnati, which suffered just its fourth regulation loss in its last 21 games at home (16-4-0-1).

Ilya Bryzgalov, who entered the game with a 0.67 goals-against average in his previous three starts, stopped 17 of the 20 shots he faced in the loss.
