Games 6 and 7 to be televised back to central PA

The Hershey Bears announced today in conjunction with ABC-27 that the remainder of the 2009 Calder Cup Finals between the Bears and the Manitoba Moose will be televised live from the MTS Centre in Winnipeg.

The game can be seen in central Pennsylvania on WHTM’s Comcast Digital 246, Verizon Fios Digital channel 461 and also on WHTM Digital 27.2.

Coverage on television begins at 8:30 p.m. ET Friday night for Game 6 from Manitoba. Should a Game 7 be needed in the series, the same channels would carry the game live in its entirety on Sunday night beginning at 8:30 p.m. ET.

The broadcast will be part of a simulcast with WQIC-FM (100.1) and the Bears Radio Network. John Walton will call the action on television and radio, with an airtime on radio of 8:10 p.m. from the MTS Centre.

ABC-27 Sports Director Gregg Mace will anchor coverage during the pregame, postgame and intermissions, with Jim Jones serving as sideline reporter live from MTS Centre.

The Bears lead the 2009 Calder Cup Finals three games to two, and look to claim the franchise’s 10th Calder Cup championship in Winnipeg this weekend.
