Sabres re-sign Adam for 2014-15

The Buffalo Sabres, parent club of the AHL’s Rochester Americans, have signed forward Luke Adam to a one-year, two-way contract.

Adam, 24, has played in parts of four seasons with the Sabres since being drafted by Buffalo in the second round (44th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. In 2013-14, Adam led the Americans in goals (29) and ranked second on the team with 49 points in 59 games played. He also represented Rochester at the 2014 AHL All-Star Classic in his hometown of St. John’s, N.L.; it was his second career All-Star selection.

In 12 games with the Sabres in 2013-14, Adam recorded one goal, and has totaled 15 goals and 11 assists for 26 points in 87 career NHL games with Buffalo.

Adam has played 210 career AHL games with Rochester and Portland over his four pro seasons, recording 77 goals and 84 assists for 161 points. He won the 2010-11 Dudley “Red” Garrett Memorial Award as the AHL’s outstanding rookie.
