Syracuse jumped out to a quick start, scoring three power-play goals in the first period, and went on to defeat the Toronto Marlies by a score of 8-1 at Ricoh Coliseum on Tuesday night.
The Crunch recorded a season-high eight goals, including six power-play goals, and netminder Tomas Popperle stopped 19 of 20 shots for the win.
Jeffrey Szwez, Olivier Labelle and Joakim Lindstrom, who also posted a plus-3 rating, each netted a pair of goals while Janne Hauhtonen registered three assists for the Crunch, who improved to 2-1-0-0 on their current six-game road trip.
Geoff Platt and Adam Pineault each registered two assists, and defenseman Filip Novak had a goal and an assist in the win for Syracuse.
