The San Jose Sharks, parent club of the American Hockey League’s Cleveland Barons, announced today that the club has re-signed left wing Ryane Clowe and center Patrick Rissmiller.
In keeping with club policy, financial terms were not disclosed.
Clowe, 22, lead the Barons in goals (27), assists (35) and points (62). The second-year forward, who also ranked third on the team with 101 penalty minutes, earned the team’s Most Valuable Player award for the season. The forward also led the squad in plus/minus (+19), power play points (23), and power play goals (14).

Patrick Rissmiller posted 21 goals and 23 assists in just 69 games in 2004-05.

In 2003-04, Clowe ranked 12th among all AHL rookie scorers, finishing with 40 points (11 goals, 29 assists).
Rissmiller, 26, posted 44 points (21 goals, 23 assists) in 69 games with the Barons in 2004-05, ranking third on the team in points.
In 2003-04, Rissmiller posted 45 points (14 goals, 31 assists) in 75 games with Cleveland.
The Sharks today also announced the signing of free agent forward Jonathan Tremblay. Tremblay spent most of his rookie season with Johnstown of the ECHL, recording two goals, three assists and 136 PIM in 46 games. He skated in one game with Cleveland as well.
