Tied with Iowa for second place in the West Division with 42 points apiece, Peoria hosts the Chops at Carver Arena on Wednesday in the teams’ fifth meeting of the campaign… The Rivermen are just 1-4-0-1 in their last six games, while the Chops are wrapping up a six-game road swing on which they are 2-2-1-0 thus far… Trent Whitfield has four goals in his last three games (4-0-4) for Peoria and shows four points (2-2-4) in four match-ups with Iowa this season… Steve Regier paces the Rivermen overall with 29 points (11-17-28) and a plus-8 rating in 31 tilts… Peoria has scored 10 shorthanded goals on the campaign, tied with Hamilton for most in the AHL… Chops defenseman Brian Salcido has three multiple-point efforts in his last six games (3-6-9)… Rookie Matt Beleskey shows 14 points (5-9-14) through his first 17 professional games… Iowa is the only AHL team yet to lose in regulation after scoring the game’s first goal (14-0-1-1).
