Bulldogs repeat OT magic, take 2-0 series lead

After winning Game 1 in double overtime, Hamilton needed just 3:18 of extra time to defeat Chicago on Sunday, 3-2, and take a big 2-0 series lead in the Western Conference Final.

The series shifts to Copps Coliseum for the next three games, beginning with Game 3 on Wednesday night.

Michael Lambert redirected home a point shot from Ryan O’Byrne for his first career Calder Cup Playoff goal as the Bulldogs earned their sixth straight road win and improved to 4-0 in overtime games this postseason.

Duncan Milroy and Matt D’Agostini each had a goal and an assist in regulation for Hamilton. Milroy, who led the club with 25 goals in the regular season, scored his first in 14 playoff games.

Carey Price (9-4) rebounded from his shaky start in Game 1 and made 22 saves for the win.

Jordan LaVallee and Darren Haydar scored for the Wolves, while Fred Brathwaite stopped 27 of 30 shots in his first start since Apr. 14.

Jason Krog saw his scoring streak end at 11 games.
