The Colorado Avalanche have acquired AHL All-Star defenseman Calle Rosen as part of a multi-player trade with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Toronto has received defenseman Tyson Barrie, forward Alex Kerfoot and a sixth-round pick in the 2020 NHL Draft from Colorado in exchange for Rosen, forward Nazem Kadri and Toronto’s third-round selection in the 2020 NHL Draft.

Rosen, 25, was an AHL All-Star in 2018-19 and a Calder Cup champion in 2017-18 while skating for the AHL’s Toronto Marlies. He posted seven goals and 39 assists for 46 points in 54 regular-season games in 2018-19, more than doubling his point total from the previous year and finishing tied for seventh among all AHL defensemen in scoring.

Rosen also skated in four games with the Maple Leafs in 2018-19, collecting his first career NHL goal.
