AHL action on NHL Network tonight

nhlnetwork07.jpgTonight’s Atlantic Division matchup between the Worcester Sharks and the Springfield Falcons will air live on NHL Network in the United States and Canada beginning at 7:00 p.m. ET.

Worcester, the top development affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, enters the game tied for the fourth and final playoff spot in the Atlantic with Portland.

The game could also mark the professional debut of Jordan Eberle, the Edmonton Oilers’ first-round pick in the 2008 draft who signed a tryout contract with Springfield earlier this week.

NHL Network is carrying a package of six live AHL broadcasts over the last two months of the 2008-09 regular season. This is the fifth consecutive season that NHL Network has televised games from the AHL, most recently having provided live coverage of the entire 2008 Calder Cup Finals last spring.
