AHL announces suspension

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League today announced that Charlotte Checkers forward Valentin Zykov has been suspended for one (1) game as a consequence of his actions in a game at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Nov. 16.

Zykov was suspended under the provisions of AHL Rule 21.1 after being assessed a match penalty. He will miss Charlotte’s game tonight (Nov. 17) at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
