On Wednesday night, Ben Ondrus scored twice for Toronto in a 5-4 win at Chicago… Keith Aucoin had a goal and two assists to lead Albany past Norfolk, 3-2… David Krejci had a pair of goals for Providence in a 3-2 win at Hartford… Clarke MacArthur tallied a goal and two assists in Rochester’s 4-2 win over Peoria… Yannick Tremblay scored twice and added an assist to help Manitoba defeat San Antonio, 4-1.

LOOKING AHEAD:
The balance of power in the East Division could shift again this weekend as Wilkes-Barre/Scranton plays three big games in 48 hours… The Penguins take on Norfolk in a home-and-home beginning Friday at Scope, then visit Hershey on Sunday evening… Wilkes-Barre has won 14 of its last 15 meetings with the Admirals, but will be making its first visit of the season to Norfolk, where the home team is 21-1-2-0 on the year… Jonathan Filewich has recorded five points in three games against the Admirals this season, but has just three points in his last nine games… Brandon Bochenski has scored 10 goals in his last six AHL games for the Ads… Corey Crawford, the AHL’s leader with 24 wins this season, allowed six goals on 23 shots in two periods of work during his only appearance against Wilkes-Barre this year.

Atlantic-leading Manchester heads south for a quick Texas two-step, visiting Houston on Friday and San Antonio on Sunday… Friday’s game marks the return to the Toyota Center of Monarchs forward Patrick O’Sullivan, who was named the AHL’s top rookie after a standout season with the Aeros last year… O’Sullivan has scored five goals in his last seven games… Manchester’s Jason LaBarbera leads the AHL in minutes played, shots faced and saves; Houston’s Josh Harding is second in all three categories… Mattias Weinhandl has 17 points in 14 games since being assigned to the Aeros by Minnesota last month… The Monarchs have won nine of their last 11 games overall, and are 7-2-1-0 in their last 10 on the road.

Omaha is just two points out of first place in the West Division heading into Friday’s home game against Iowa, the teams’ eighth meeting of the season… Canadian AHL All-Star selection Curtis McElhinney has made eight straight starts in net for the Knights, who have a 6-1-1-0 record in that span… Justin Taylor has eight points in his last seven games for Omaha, and Andrei Taratukhin is on a six-game scoring streak (2g, 5a)… Iowa is 7-2-2-1 in its last dozen games, but still sits two points out of fourth place in the West… The Stars were 4-for-11 on the power play in Tuesday’s 5-4 shootout loss to Rochester… Junior Lessard has five points in five games for Iowa since returning from injury on Jan. 5.
