Avalanche sign Hudon to one-year contract

The Colorado Avalanche have signed forward Charles Hudon to a one-year contract for the 2022-23 season.

Hudon, a two-time AHL All-Star (2015, 2020), scored a career-high 30 goals and added 27 assists for 57 points in 66 games with the Syracuse Crunch in 2021-22, his eighth pro campaign.

In 319 career AHL contests with Syracuse, Laval, St. John’s and Hamilton, Hudon has compiled 132 goals and 122 assists for 254 points.

A fifth-round pick by Montreal in the 2012 NHL Draft, Hudon has played 125 games in the NHL, all with the Canadiens, and has tallied 14 goals and 27 assists for 41 points.
