Bissonnette returning to Reign

The Ontario Reign, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League, have agreed to terms with veteran forward Paul Bissonnette.

Bissonnette, 31, enters his 12th professional season in 2016-17 after tallying two goals and one assist in 35 regular-season contests with the Reign last season. In 13 Calder Cup Playoff games, the Welland, Ont., native notched a goal and an assist.

A fourth-round draft choice by Pittsburgh in 2003, Bissonnette has played 202 NHL games with Pittsburgh and Phoenix, recording seven goals and 15 assists for 22 points. In 252 AHL games with Ontario, Manchester, Portland and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, he has 16 goals and 24 assists for 40 points along with 605 penalty minutes.

Bissonnette won a Calder Cup championship with Manchester in 2015, and has picked up one goal and four assists in 50 career AHL playoff games.
