Blackhawks acquire Dauphin from Arizona

The Chicago Blackhawks have acquired defenseman Connor Murphy and forward Laurent Dauphin from the Arizona Coyotes in exchange for defenseman Niklas Hjalmarsson.

Dauphin, 22, recorded 17 goals and 11 assists for 28 points in 38 AHL games with the Tucson Roadrunners in 2016-17, finishing third on the team in goals. He also skated in 24 NHL games with Arizona, tallying two goals and one assist.

As a rookie in 2015-16, Dauphin notched 24 points in 66 games with the AHL’s Springfield Falcons along with one goal in eight NHL games with the Coyotes. In 108 career AHL contests with Tucson, Springfield and Portland, Dauphin has notched 29 goals and 24 assists for 53 points.

Dauphin was originally a second-round pick by the Coyotes in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
