Columbus puts out call for Rome

syr_200.jpgThe Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled defenseman Aaron Rome.

Rome, 25, has appeared in 48 games for the Crunch this season, ranking third on the club and first among defensemen in scoring with seven goals, 21 assists and 153 penalty minutes. He ranks second on the team in power play points (15) and is tied for first in power play assists (13).

A native of Nesbitt, Manitoba, Rome was acquired in a trade by Columbus along with Clay Wilson from Anaheim in exchange for Geoff Platt, November 15, 2007.
