Comcast to air Philly outdoor game

Comcast SportsNet, the leader in local sports coverage, today announced comprehensive coverage of the Philadelphia Flyers preparation for the 2012 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic.

The Comcast Network will air the AHL outdoor game between the Adirondack Phantoms and the Hershey Bears from Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on Jan. 6.

Former Phantoms radio voice Brian Smith and former Flyers forward Ian Laperriere will call the game.

The Phantoms and Bears will be facing off in the third outdoor game in American Hockey League history, and the first associated with the NHL’s Winter Classic events. The Flyers and New York Rangers will skate at Citizens Bank Park on Jan. 2.
