Devils name Rissmiller development coach

The New Jersey Devils, parent club of the AHL’s Albany Devils, today named Patrick Rissmiller to the position of development coach.

He will join Pertti Hasanen and Scott Clemmensen on the club’s development staff.

Rissmiller, 36, joins the Devils’ organization following a 13-season professional playing career. He was a two-time AHL All-Star (2006, 2010) and skated in 554 career AHL games with the Cleveland Barons, Hartford Wolf Pack, Grand Rapids Griffins, Chicago Wolves, Lake Erie Monsters, Rochester Americans and Worcester Sharks, totaling 128 goals and 239 assists for 367 points.

Rissmiller spent parts of six seasons in the NHL with San Jose, the New York Rangers, Atlanta and Florida, posting 18 goals and 28 assists for 46 points in 192 regular-season contests. He finished his playing career with two seasons in Italy.
