Florida signs 20-goal scorer Kearns

Florida Panthers Executive Vice President & General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the club, NHL affiliate of the AHL’s San Antonio Rampage, has agreed to terms with center Bracken Kearns on a one-year, two way contract.

Kearns, 30, set a career high with 20 goals and placed fifth on the Rampage with 43 points in 72 games in 2010-11. The 6-foot, 195-pound center has played in 338 career American Hockey League games for Cleveland (2005-06), Milwaukee (2006-07), Norfolk (2007-09), Rockford (2009-10) and San Antonio (2010-11), scoring 67 goals with 101 assists and 365 PIM.

Prior to turning pro, Kearns played four years of hockey at the University of Calgary.
