The Grand Rapids Griffins became the third team to clinch a berth in the 2017 Calder Cup Playoffs with a 3-2 win over Milwaukee on Sunday afternoon.

The Griffins are heading to the postseason for the fifth year in a row and are bidding for their third division title in that span. Grand Rapids currently leads Chicago by three points atop the Central Division, with two games in hand on the Wolves.

Grand Rapids, the Calder Cup champions in 2013, upset Milwaukee in the first round of last year’s postseason tournament before falling to Lake Erie in the division finals.
