  1. b) The Tournament Finals are scheduled for Saturday, April 8, 2016, in Binghamton, NY. Each Team Winner will be notified of an approximate time of play. 1. i) Due to the sudden-death style of play, there is no guarantee of any start or end time of any game. If a Team Winner is not present at a scheduled start-time, the Tournament Administrators will move to the next scheduled game and re-call a Team Winner’s name at least two (2) times. After two (2) failed attempts to locate a missing Team Winner, that Team Winner will be disqualified and the opponent will be declared the winner. Implementation of this rule is at the sole discretion of the Tournament Administrators.

7)        General.

  1. a) Each Tournament Venue will have at least one table and the total number of 2-person teams will vary from location to location.

  1. b) The Tournament Administrators will appoint Officials to referee each game. The appointed Officials and/or Tournament Administrators shall have final and complete say over any dispute or any matter relating to each game.

  1. c) An attempt will be made to be as flexible as possible to accommodate play but the Tournament Administrators and Officials reserve the right to take whatever actions appropriate to move games along.

  1. d) A typical game is expected to last three (3) to four (4) minutes.

  1. e) Brackets will be posted at the site with estimated start times for each round. Due to the sudden-death style of play, there is no guarantee as to when any particular game will start or end, and actual game times may be different from the posted game times.

  1. f) All games will follow the Official I.C.E. Super Chexx Singles Rules of Play.

  1. i) The first Contestant listed will play to the Official’s right and the second Contestant on the left side of the game. The Official will start play by hitting the start button with scoreboard at 0-0 when both entrants signal they are ready to begin game play.

If one Contestant is ahead by two goals at the end of regulation play, the game is over and the Official will call the game.

iii)       The puck must stay in the net and travel down the goal chute, and be registered by the game unit for a goal to be scored.

  1. iv) Goals that appear to go in the net and bounce out do not count and the Official will not stop play to review any such disputed goal, so Contestants must keep playing at all times.

  1. v) Goalies may not be moved rapidly from side to side so as to violently shake the ice surface of the game. Contestants will be warned once and may be disqualified, in the Official’s sole discretion, resulting in a loss of that game.

  1. vi) If a game malfunctions electronically or physically during play, in the Official’s discretion, the game will be replayed from the start regardless of the score.

vii)      Physically abusing a game will result in immediate disqualification, resulting in a loss of the game being played. Examples of physical abuse include lifting, shaking, purposely moving the cabinet, unplugging, striking, or kicking.

viii)     Contestants are not permitted to stall play by deliberately holding the puck for an extended period of time. A Contestant may request a five (5)-second count from the Official. The Contestant receiving the count must then pass or shoot the puck before the end of five seconds. Failure to do so will result in that Contestant being disqualified from the game, in the sole discretion of the Official.

8)        Prizes.

  1. a) Each Venue Winner will receive two (2) tickets per player to an AHL game being played on the day of the Team Final and one (1) Labatt Blue branded hockey jersey per player or other wearable selected solely by the Tournament Administrators (the “Venue Prize”).
