Maple Leafs acquire Carcone

The Toronto Maple Leafs have acquired forward Michael Carcone from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for forward Josh Leivo.

Carcone, 22, has collected six goals and 11 assists for 17 points in 20 games for the AHL’s Utica Comets this season.

The third-year pro from Ajax, Ont., has totaled 26 goals and 36 assists for 62 points in 149 career AHL games, all with Utica.

Carcone originally signed as a free agent with the Canucks on July 15, 2016.
