Aeros-Rivs in St. Paul on Feb. 13

The National Hockey League’s Minnesota Wild today announced the Houston Aeros, the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, will host the Peoria Rivermen, top affiliate of the St. Louis Blues, at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. CT.

The game was originally scheduled to take place on Saturday, Feb. 12.

The game is being held as continuation of the Minnesota Wild’s 10th Anniversary Season. The Aeros currently feature four Minnesota natives – Jarod Palmer (Fridley), Chad Rau (Eden Prairie), Nate Prosser (Elk River) and Bryce Lampman (Rochester).

Minnesota Wild season ticketholders will receive complimentary tickets to the game – equal to the number of Wild seats they hold. They will also have the option to purchase additional tickets for $10. Reserved seating tickets for the game are $15 in advance or $20 day of game. Tickets will go on sale on Saturday, Jan. 8, at the Xcel Energy Center Box Office, Wild.com and Ticketmaster.com.

Gates will open at 11:30 a.m., and Minnesota Wild players will be on hand to sign autographs from 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Separate tickets for the Wild autograph session will be $10, with proceeds benefitting the Minnesota Wild Foundation. In addition, there will be a meet and greet with Aeros players after the game.

The AHL matchup will be a showdown of the Wild’s and St. Louis Blues’ top prospects – one day after the NHL teams play at Xcel Energy Center. This marks the third time the Aeros will host a game at Xcel Energy Center. The club has split their previous two decisions in St. Paul, posting a 3-1 victory over the Grand Rapids Griffins on Mar. 7, 2005 and dropping a 2-1 decision to the Milwaukee Admirals on Dec. 8, 2002.
