The St. Louis Blues, parent club of the AHL’s Peoria Rivermen, announced today the club has signed forwards Adam Cracknell and Barry Tallackson.
Cracknell (crack-NELL), 24, played last season with the American Hockey League’s (AHL) Quad City Flames, tallying 26 points (10 goals, 16 assists) and 36 penalty minutes. His 26 points led all Flames rookies.
The 6-1, 191-pound forward tied for second on Quad City last season with 79 games played.
The Prince Albert, Saskatchewan native was originally drafted by Calgary in 2004.
Tallackson (TAL-ack-sun), 26, played in 56 games with the Lowell Devils (AHL) last season, recording 21 points (11 goals, 10 assists) and 29 penalty minutes. He shows 139 points (58-81-139) in 241 career AHL games with Albany and Lowell, and tallied a career-high 22 goals and 45 points for the Devils in 2007-08.
The 6-5, 215-pound forward has played in 20 NHL games, all with New Jersey, registering two points (one goal, one assist) along with two penalty minutes.
The Grafton, North Dakota native was originally drafted by New Jersey in the second round, 53rd overall, in the 2002 Entry Draft.
