The Vancouver Canucks announced Sunday that they have assigned center Bo Horvat to the American Hockey League’s Utica Comets on a conditioning assignment.

Horvat, 19, appeared in five games with the Canucks during the 2014 preseason, registering one goal.

The ninth overall pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, Horvat could make his professional debut as soon as Wednesday night when Utica hosts Adirondack.

Horvat spent the last three seasons with London (OHL), totaling 74 goals and 91 assists for 165 points in 185 regular-season games.
