SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League is holding its annual Marketing Meeting this week, with more than 200 representatives from the league and its member clubs gathering in Cleveland, Ohio.
Team and league front-office personnel are convening at the Quicken Loans Arena in downtown Cleveland to discuss best practices and innovative ideas in several areas, including ticket sales, corporate sales, digital media and community relations.
Keynote speakers and presenters at the event, which will run June 25-27, will include David Andrews, AHL President and CEO; Dr. Bernie Mullin, chairman and CEO of The Aspire Group; Len Komoroski, CEO of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Quicken Loans Arena; Josh Kritzler and Dan Migala, founding partners of Property Consulting Group; and representatives from the Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, Columbus Blue Jackets, Edmonton Oilers, NeuLion, Celebrity Placement Services and more.
In addition, more than 40 merchandise, promotional, ticketing and technology companies will participate in the AHL’s sixth annual Vendor Showcase.
“Our marketing meetings are an invaluable opportunity for front-office personnel from throughout the league to interact, share ideas and gain insight from some of the sports industry’s leading strategists,” said Andrews. “We’re very grateful to the Lake Erie Monsters organization and the city of Cleveland for their hospitality.”

In operation since 1936, the AHL continues to serve as the top development league for all 30 National Hockey League teams. More than 87 percent of today’s NHL players are American Hockey League graduates, and for the 12th year in a row, more than 6 million fans attended AHL games across North America in 2012-13.
