The Calgary Flames, parent club of the AHL’s Abbotsford Heat, have signed forwards Jason Jaffray and Jamie Lundmark.
Jaffray, a native of Rimbey, Alta., was second in points (49) and third in goals (23) and assists (26) with the Manitoba Moose (AHL) during the 2008-09 regular season despite only playing 56 games. Jaffray was also an offensive threat in the postseason as he finished second in goals (9), assists (10) and points (19) with the Moose as they lost in the Calder Cup Finals.
Jaffray also had two goals and two assists in 14 NHL games with Vancouver last season.
Entering his eighth season of professional hockey, Jaffray has played 300 career AHL games with Manitoba, Cleveland, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Norfolk, registering 105 goals and 145 assists for 250 points. He set career highs with 35 goals, 46 assists and 81 points in 2006-07 and also played in the AHL All-Star Classic that year.
Jaffray has skated in 33 career NHL matches, totaling four goals and six assists.
Lundmark, a native of Edmonton, Alta., played 27 games with Calgary scoring eight goals and adding eights assists for 16 points and 17 penalty minutes. He also had 52 points (15g, 37a) in 54 AHL games for Quad City.
Lundmark has amassed 259 career NHL games over his career split between New York Rangers, Phoenix Coyotes, Los Angeles Kings, and the Calgary Flames. He has totaled 35 goals and 52 assists for 87 points in that time.
In 274 career AHL games with Quad City, Lake Erie, San Antonio and Hartford, Lundmark has recorded 79 goals and 127 assists for 206 points.
