The St. John’s IceCaps have agreed to terms with forward Jason Jaffray on a new AHL contract.
Jaffray, 31, played in 47 games with the IceCaps last season and served as the team captain. In that time, the left-handed winger recorded 38 points (17 goals, 21 assists) and 30 penalty minutes.
Jaffray also appeared in 13 NHL games with the parent Winnipeg Jets where he earned one assist and seven penalty minutes.
The Olds, Alta., native has appeared in 371 career AHL games, totaling 125 goals and 170 assists for 295 points. He helped the Manitoba Moose to the Calder Cup Finals in 2009 and was an AHL All-Star in 2007 and 2010.
Jaffray has also appeared in 49 career NHL games with Vancouver, Calgary and Winnipeg, totaling four goals and seven assists for 11 points.
