Krog earns Milestone award for November

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League has named Chicago Wolves forward Jason Krog as the recipient of the CCM/AHL Milestone of the Month award for November.

In a 10-5 win at Peoria on Nov. 4, Krog scored three goals and added four assists to become the first American Hockey League player in nearly eight years to register seven points in a game.

Krog, who has recorded a point in each of his 21 AHL games played this season, finished November with 11 goals and 18 assists for 29 points in 12 games, and also scored a goal in his one NHL game with the Atlanta Thrashers on Nov. 24.

Now in his eighth professional season, Krog has recorded 79 goals and 135 assists for 214 points in 200 career AHL games. He also has 53 points in 176 career NHL matches with Atlanta, Anaheim, and the N.Y. Islanders.

Krog, who won the Hobey Baker Award as the outstanding player in U.S. collegiate hockey during his senior season at the University of New Hampshire, helped the Bridgeport Sound Tigers reach the Calder Cup Finals in 2002, and played in the Stanley Cup Finals with Anaheim in 2003.

In recognition of earning the CCM/AHL Milestone of the Month, Krog will be presented with an etched crystal award prior to an upcoming Wolves home game.
