The New Jersey Devils have acquired forward Michael Latta from the Arizona Coyotes in exchange for forward Ryan Kujawinski.
Latta, 26, has two goals and six assists for eight points in 20 games with the AHL’s Tucson Roadrunners this season, his seventh pro campaign. A native of St. Clements, Ont., Latta has skated in 264 career AHL games with Tucson, Rockford, Ontario, Hershey and Milwaukee, totaling 45 goals and 85 assists for 130 points.
Latta was a third-round draft pick by Nashville in 2009, and has recorded four goals and 13 assists for 17 points in 113 career NHL games, all with Washington. He spent the entire 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons in the NHL.
Kujawinski, 22, has one goal and one assist in five outings with the AHL’s Binghamton Devils this season. The third-year pro from Kirkland Lake, Ont., has recorded 13 goals and 22 assists for 35 points in 96 contests with New Jersey’s AHL affiliates in Binghamton and Albany.
Kujawinski was originally selected by the Devils in the third round of the 2013 NHL Draft.
