Rangers agree to terms with Adam

The New York Rangers, parent club of the AHL’s Hartford Wolf Pack, have agreed to terms with free agent forward Luke Adam.

Adam, 25, skated in 73 games with the Rochester Americans and the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League this past season, registering 16 goals and 26 assists for 42 points. In addition, Adam skated in three NHL games with the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2014-15.

The 6-foot-2, 206-pounder has skated in 283 career AHL games with Springfield, Rochester and Portland, registering 93 goals and 110 assists for 203 points. He received the Dudley (Red) Garrett Memorial Award as the AHL’s outstanding rookie in 2010-11, and participated in the AHL All-Star Classic in 2011 and 2014.

Adam has also skated in 90 career NHL games with Buffalo and Columbus, registering 15 goals and 11 assists for 26 points.

A native of St. John’s, N.L., Adam was originally selected by Buffalo in the second round, 44th overall, of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
