RBC Future All-Stars selected for Binghamton

08allstar_1000.jpgThe Binghamton Senators and the American Hockey League announced today that Kevin Cole (Binghamton Jr. A Senators), Jerry D’Amigo (U.S. National Under-17 Team), Jeremy Morin (U.S. National Under-17 Team) and Matt Pratt (Binghamton Jr. A Senators) have been selected as the RBC Future All-Stars for the 2008 AHL All-Star Classic.

The RBC Future All-Stars will participate alongside the American Hockey League All-Stars in select events during the 2008 AHL All-Star Skills Competition at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena on Sunday, January 27. Their scores in those events will count toward the total score for the evening.

Cole, 16, is in his first season with the Binghamton Jr. A Senators of the Atlantic Junior Hockey League. Cole, a native of Ithaca, N.Y., has 10 goals, 13 assists and 34 penalty minutes in 31 games this season. His 10 goals are good for second on the team.

D’Amigo, 16, is in his first season with the U.S. National Under-17 Team and has 14 points (5+9=14) in 36 games this season. D’Amigo, a native of Johnson City, N.Y., spent the 2006-07 season with the Binghamton Jr. A Senators where he collected 33 points (17+16=33) in 41 games.

Morin, 16, is also in his first season with the U.S. National Under-17 Team and has 45 points (28+17=45) in 35 games this season. His 21 goals and 36 points lead Under-17 Team. Morin, a native of Auburn, N.Y., spent the 2006-07 season with the Syracuse Stars of the Eastern Junior Hockey League where he scored 26 goals and added 28 assists in 45 games.

Pratt, 16, is in his second season with the Binghamton Jr. A Senators and has 20 points (11+9=20) through 31 games this season. His 11 markers are good for first on the team. During the 2006-07 season, Pratt, a native of Binghamton, N.Y., collected five goals and seven assists in 39 games for the Jr. A Senators.

As the official bank of the American Hockey League, RBC is sponsoring the Future All-Stars for the second consecutive season.

The 2008 AHL All-Star Classic will take place at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena in Binghamton on January 27-28, and will be televised live in the United States and Canada.
