Darren Haydar broke a scoreless tie with 7:22 left in regulation to lead Milwaukee to a 3-1 victory over Hamilton at the Bradley Center on Wednesday night.
It was the seventh win in a row for the Admirals after an 0-3-0-1 start to the season.
Greg Classen and Jordin Tootoo also scored for Milwaukee, and Timofei Shishkanov recorded two assists. Pekka Rinne made 25 saves, losing his shutout bid on a Garth Murray goal with 13 seconds remaining.
Cristobal Huet got the start for the Bulldogs, his first action of the season, and stopped 38 of 40 shots.

Bridgeport extended its winning streak to six games with a 1-0 win over Philadelphia at the Arena at Harbor Yard.
Chris Madden made 29 saves for the Sound Tigers, and Kevin Colley scored the game’s only goal on a breakaway 17:21 into the first period.
Jamie Storr stopped 23 shots in the loss, as the Phantoms fell to 1-8-0-2 in their last 11 games.

Keith Aucoin scored a pair of power-play goals as Lowell recorded a 4-1 win over Albany.
Frantisek Skladany and David Gove also scored for the Lock Monsters, and Jeff Finger registered three assists.
Vitaly Kolesnik made 38 saves in the win.
