The Philadelphia Flyers, parent club of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms, have traded forward Petr Straka to the New Jersey Devils, parent club of the AHL’s Albany Devils, in exchange for a conditional seventh round selection in either the 2017 or 2018 NHL Entry Draft.
A 24-year-old forward from Plzen, Czech Republic, Straka is in his fourth professional season and is coming off a year in which he established new career highs in both goals (19) and points (37).
Straka has not yet played a game in 2016-17. Over 192 career AHL games with Lehigh Valley/Adirondack, Straka has totaled 42 goals and 46 assists for 88 points.
Straka will report to Albany.
