The Vegas Golden Knights have re-signed goaltender Oscar Dansk to a one-year contract extension.

The Vegas Golden Knights are moving their AHL affiliate to Nevada, where the newly-christened Henderson Silver Knights will be just a stone’s throw away from the parent club. And the locals are excited.

All of the reasons for the Vegas Golden Knights to bring their AHL affiliate to Henderson boiled down to the notion that they could control their own destiny on and off the ice with their farm team in the same metropolitan area.

The Vegas Golden Knights announced on Thursday night that their new AHL franchise will be known as the Henderson Silver Knights.

The Vegas Golden Knights will share the name and logo of their new AHL affiliate with a one-hour “Reveal Knight” special, Thursday night at 10 p.m. ET/7 PT.

The AHL Board of Governors has approved the transfer of ownership of the San Antonio Rampage AHL franchise to the Vegas Golden Knights, as well as the relocation of that franchise from San Antonio, Texas, to Henderson/Las Vegas, Nev., effective with the 2020-21 season.
