Hershey Bears captain Aaron Ness has announced his retirement.

Harrison Brunicke scored a shorthanded goal 6:20 into the second period, snapping a 1-1 tie and sending Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to a series-clinching 4-1 victory over Hershey on Thursday night.

Rutger McGroarty scored on a redirection 5:02 into overtime to give the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins a 4-3 win and a 2-1 series lead over Hershey on Tuesday night.

Clay Stevenson stopped 37 shots – including 21 in the third period alone – and the Hershey Bears edged Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, 2-1, in Game 2 of their Atlantic Division semifinal series on Saturday evening.
