Darren Haydar had two goals and assists in three games last week into this week’s action, making it 13 straight games with an assist and extended his scoring streak to 24 games, a franchise record and the longest in the AHL in 12 years … Jason Krog recorded two goals on the weekend and another two assists on Tuesday to extend his scoring streak to 23 games, while leading the league with 19 goals and 49 points … Rookie defenseman Boris Valabik was a plus-4 last week tying him for the league lead with a plus-16 rating.

Griffins handed the AHL’s top team (Rochester) their first consecutive losses of 2006-07 with a 4-2 win on Friday and 4-1 win the following night. They became the only team to beat the Amerks twice thus far in the season…Darryl Bootland has recorded goals in five of his last six games helping the Griffins go 4-1-0-1 in that span…Assisting on Bootland’s goal on Saturday gave Grand Rapids center Kip Miller his 1,100 point of his professional career.
