West Division battle pits Rampage against Wolves

The San Antonio Rampage are out to a 1-3-0-0 start to the season, but their only win came at the expense of the Chicago Wolves, a 2-1 triumph in San Antonio on Oct. 15. Alex Bourret, a former member of the Wolves, scored both goals for the Rampage in that game.

Chicago looks for revenge tonight when the two teams tangle at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill., with face-off scheduled for 8:00 ET.

The Wolves have won a pair of games since that loss to the Rampage, including a 3-2 victory over Peoria in their home opener last Saturday.

Colin Stuart leads the Chicago offense with three points (1-2-3), while six different Wolves skaters have scored the team’s six goals thus far. Second-year goaltender Ondrej Pavelec is out to a 2-2-0 start to the season (1.49, .949) with one shutout to his credit.

Bourret has totaled a team-leading five points (2-3-5) for San Antonio and brings a three-game scoring streak into tonight’s action. Garth Murray – a veteran of 106 NHL games – is pacing the Rampage with three goals through the first four games.

The Rampage’s penalty-killing unit is 23-for-26 (88.5%), ranking them fourth in the league in that category, including an 8-for-8 showing against Chicago on Oct. 15.
