Lee Goren scored the tying goal in regulation and the winning goal in the shootout as the Moose beat the Griffins on Saturday night, their second win of the week at Van Andel Arena. Jason King had three goals and one assist in three games last week, giving him 14 points in 16 games since rejoining Manitoba on Jan. 8.

The Admirals’ 4-3 shootout loss in Peoria on Sunday marked their only road game in a 10-game stretch through Mar. 3. Scottie Upshall has just four points in his last six games, but has still amassed 17 goals and 16 assists in 20 games for Milwaukee this season.

Rochester, which has made the Calder Cup Playoffs 16 years running, is currently six points behind Toronto for the fourth and final playoff spot in the North Division. Jiri Novotny had his seven-game scoring streak halted in Sunday’s loss to Cleveland. Scott Metcalfe, a member of the Amerks’ 1996 Calder Cup championship team, was inducted into the club’s Hall of Fame on Sunday.
