Wild re-sign three, assign 25 to Houston

The Minnesota Wild announced a number of roster moves Friday, including the re-signings of restricted free agents center David McIntyre, right wing Carson McMillan and right wing Jarod Palmer. The trio is among 25 players who have been assigned to the Houston Aeros, the club’s American Hockey league affiliate.

The other players assigned to Houston are: D Drew Bagnall, C Joel Broda, D Jonas Brodin, RW Brett Bulmer, D Josh Caron, D Brian Connelly, RW Charlie Coyle, D Tyler Cuma, RW Justin Fontaine, LW Kris Foucault, D Chay Genoway, C Mikael Granlund, G Matt Hackett, D Colton Jobke, D Steven Kampfer, G Darcy Kuemper, LW Johan Larsson, D Kyle Medvec, C Zack Philips, C Chad Rau, D Marco Scandella and LW Jason Zucker.

McIntyre, 25, notched 16 goals and 16 assists for 32 points in 63 games with Houston last season. He added one goal and one assist in seven games with Minnesota, making his NHL debut in 2011-12.

McMillan, 24, tallied four goals and eight assists for 12 points in 51 games for the Aeros last year, while contributing one goal and two assists in 11 games for the Wild.

Palmer, 26, had five goals and six assists in 35 AHL games for Houston, along with one goal in six NHL contests for Minnesota last season.
