Wolf Pack sign Butler to AHL deal

The Hartford Wolf Pack announced today that the team has signed forward Bobby Butler to an American Hockey League contract.

Butler, a veteran of eight pro seasons, was a member of the 2018 U.S. Olympic Team, skating in five games for Team USA at the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea. He also played 67 AHL games with the Milwaukee Admirals in 2017-18, leading the team with 24 goals and finishing second with 45 points.

A native of Marlborough, Mass., Butler has tallied 111 goals and 100 assists for 211 points in 288 career AHL contests with Binghamton, Albany, San Antonio and Milwaukee. He won a Calder Cup with Binghamton in 2011 and played in the AHL All-Star Classic in 2011 (when he was selected All-Star Game MVP) and 2013; he was also named to the All-Star roster in 2015 but was unable to participate in the event.

Butler has also skated in 130 career NHL games with Ottawa, New Jersey, Nashville and Florida, totaling 20 goals and 29 assists for 49 points.
