XM Satellite Radio to carry AHL playoff action

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League announced today that action from the 2010 Calder Cup Playoff conference finals are scheduled to be heard live on XM Satellite Radio on their all-hockey NHL Home Ice channel this week.

The Eastern Conference Finals are pitting the Hershey Bears (top development team of the NHL’s Washington Capitals) against the Manchester Monarchs (Los Angeles Kings), while the Western Conference championship series sees the Hamilton Bulldogs (Montreal Canadiens) taking on the Texas Stars (Dallas Stars). The following games are scheduled to be heard on NHL Home Ice:

The AHL on XM (all times Eastern):
Mon., May 17 – Hershey at Manchester, 7:00 (Game 3)
Wed., May 19 – Hamilton at Texas, 8:30 (Game 3)
Sat., May 22 – Manchester at Hershey, 7:00 (Game 6, if necessary) or Hamilton at Texas, 8:00 (Game 5, if necessary)

This is the fifth consecutive year that AHL action has aired on NHL Home Ice, including the annual AHL All-Star Game, the Calder Cup Finals and other regular-season and playoff games.
