Young to skate for Wolves

The Chicago Wolves announced Friday that defenseman Gus Young has signed a contract to play for the organization.

Prior to joining the Wolves, the 25-year-old Young spent time with the Worcester Sharks (2014-15) and the San Jose Barracuda (2015-16). Through two American Hockey League seasons, Young owns eight goals and 23 assists in 132 regular-season games.

The Dedham, Mass., native played for Yale University for four seasons (2010-14). He was a member of the squad that won the 2013 national championship, the first in the school’s history.

Young was selected by the Colorado Avalanche in the seventh round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
