With his second assist of the game in a 4-2 win at Grand Rapids on Wednesday night, Iowa Wild forward Cal O’Reilly reached the 500-point plateau for his American Hockey League career.

O’Reilly is the 93rd player in the league’s 82-year history with 500 regular-season points.

A 12th-year pro and Toronto native, the 31-year-old O’Reilly has recorded 12 goals and 38 assists for 50 points in 60 games for Iowa this season. He ranks second on the Wild roster in scoring and is tied for fourth overall in the AHL in assists.

The four-time AHL All-Star (2009, 2010, 2015, 2016) has skated in 585 career AHL contests with Milwaukee, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Portland, Utica, Rochester, Toronto and Iowa, totaling 101 goals and 399 assists. His next assist will make him the 35th player in league history to reach 400.

A fifth-round draft pick by Nashville in 2005, O’Reilly has also skated in 145 NHL games with the Predators, Phoenix, Pittsburgh, Buffalo and Minnesota.
