Lone Star rivals San Antonio and Texas kick off their 2011-12 season series at the Cedar Park Center tonight… The Rampage are 2-1-0-0 following a 4-3 shootout win at Houston on Saturday, their only previous road contest of the year… Bracken Kearns has scored a goal in each of San Antonio’s first three contests, his first three-game goal streak since scoring in four straight contests for Norfolk from Jan. 9-17, 2009… The Rampage are 1-for-15 on the power play this season (6.7 percent)… After opening the season with a 7-0 win over Oklahoma City on Oct. 9, Texas has lost two straight by a combined score of 15-3, including Saturday’s 10-1 defeat in a rematch with the Barons… At 1-2-0-0, the Stars are below .500 for the first time since they lost the franchise’s first game on Oct. 2, 2009… Texas has dominated special teams on home ice this season, going 6-for-15 on the power play and 9-for-9 on the penalty kill… Defensemen Brenden Dillon (1-3-4) and Dan Spang (1-3-4) are the Stars’ leading scorers to date… Texas is 9-1-0-1 all-time vs. San Antonio (2-4-5-0) in Cedar Park.
